We're all sat in uni today on a Sunday! Putting together our presentation and running through for tomorrow. Our CD-ROM is now finally finished and published :)
All up to date with project management, portfolio work etc. so just the presentation to be done and our individual evaluations!

Good News!

Finally got the motion graphics video introduction finished today! It's worked out at just under a minute long, so will be putting this into our flash file tomorrow. Also got most of our other scenes complete today, so final touches to the CD-Rom tomorrow! xxx

New gallery layout pages

hey,
this is the new look of the gallery pages. iv added thumbnails of all the images of each slideshow to the right of the page. iv made them all into buttons so when the user clicks them they can view each image, aswell as being able to view the slideshow through the next/previous buttons.

heeeeeeey iv been struggling all day to get this multiple choice quiz to work and we finally have sucess woooooooooooooooooooooooooo! its workin with the questions i put in but the tutorial stops at question 5 but iv done 10 questions so after 5 the question says its undifined???? and then goes up to like 30 odd so il need to ask jon on monday to get some code or somethin to state how many questions there are.

Beginners Guide

hey hey, iv pretty much finished the beginners guide. Iv deigned and put together all the pages in photoshop and written all the content and then imported them into flash. Me and Becka added the scenes and page links and rollovers. Im just finishing adding the rollovers for the camera page and then all i need to do is the quiz and also the scroll downs for each page which im really struggling with cos the action script i have is for the x axis and i dont really get how to change it all to fit my coordinates. Emma is goin in today to ask jon if not well sort it monday!

so here are all the photo shop jpegs of all the pages so far!! hmm you can only view the subpages
really small for some reason think its cos there like 800 pixels by 5000 pixels but they appear
normal size in flash so dont worry!

hey darls, iv finished the warbrobe drag and drop in flash so now we just have to combine it with the home page and then add the action script to link it back and forth from the other pages also put some sound rollovers if any of u can find some twinkly sound effects or any u think maybe suitible or the wardrobe page then let me knowxxxxx

Today i have been researching into the guide to photography i bought some mags which have prooved very useful. I have designed the home page for it with 4 buttons which will lead to differnt sections: one about the camera where we can have tips on whta camera to buy, the rollover camera, modes and about memory card. Then the second page is called taking a good photo where we can have tips on how to avoid blurring, exposure and shutter speed. Then the last page will explain about composition and lighting and also there is an option to take the quiz t test the knowledge of what they have learnt!! its not quite finished so tell me if u think it cud look better etc xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

now ive got the MP3 player made and the timeline, i dont have anything left to do so if theres anything else i can do at home i dont mind :) if u need the beginniers guide doing i dont mind as i know alice and becka have got a lot to do with the wardrobe!

forties outfits

woooo now we have at leadt 3 outfits, with accessories, for each decade. awesome.

for the 1940s we have 2 outfits representing the fact that it was wartime, and the women took over the men's jobs, in the factories and fields, so wore a lot of overalls, dungarees, wellies & masculine outfits. the colours and materials were quite drab & no nonsense, because fabric was rationed.




after the war, Dior created 'the new look', and women could be feminine again. Tea dresses, nipped in waists and flattering looks were back.

first, a seventies woman's business 'power suit' with big shoulder pads, in powder blue:


secondly, i did a seventies disco outfit, with shiney flares, platform boots, a crop top & a rhinestone belt:


thirdly, a punk outfit, because the late seventies were when punk was born. lots of tartan and fishnets.

kate and mp3 player

i tried getting in touch with kate as shes got all the research for the timeline but had no reply so if any one hears from her would u ask her if she can get it to 1 of us please?

also i have re-done the mp3 player! and it works! the pause stop n play button all work! and done a few better things to it. only thing is, it doesnt play until the play button is pressed so does anyone know how to get it to autoplay? thanks naomi xxx

i think the kasabian one would be pretty good, also take a look at the video for Seventeen by Ladytron, it's catchy and the lyrics are 'they only want you when your 17, when you're 21 you're no fun. they take a polaroid & let you go, say they'll let you know...'' which is quite accurate for the fashion industry i guess!

I really like this style motion graphics i think it would be cool to do a similar think to this with black border like a film strip with the insides moving along with various graphics and images etc




i like this one for the boutique style graphics we could incorporate into ours somehow




this one i thought had some ace graphics with alot of images weve used in our designs such as roses, skulls, tree branches, i really like the begnning of this sequence with all the graphics moving on the white background and then close up faces wth blots of colour




I think we shud definitley use this growing flower technique in this video

hey guys spent the afternoon finishing the wardrobe page design, added the finished wardrobe and then imported it into flash. I saved each decade, the home and wardrobe text as seperate pngs so i could then make them into buttons. Now me and becka just need to finish all the clothes and il start making the drag and drop this weekend! think i may add a question mark button telling the user what to do just so its clear they can change the decade!!

Hey ladies here are just a few photo edits iv done for our portfolio...



I wanted this pic to look like a day dream. I used hippie images and colours to give it a 60s psychedelic feel.




This one i wanted to look like me and kate are in an enchanted forest. i cut out our figures from the photographs changed the levels and whitend the eyes then i used a few differnt forest pictures for the background blending them to get rainbow colours. I added lighting and sparkles and all the diffent graphics and images using blend modes and layers. I choose graphics that i thought would give the forest a magical feel i.e. unicorn, mushrooms, fairies etc i also thought it wud look good if i gave me and kate wings xxxxx
