I really like this style motion graphics i think it would be cool to do a similar think to this with black border like a film strip with the insides moving along with various graphics and images etc
i like this one for the boutique style graphics we could incorporate into ours somehow
this one i thought had some ace graphics with alot of images weve used in our designs such as roses, skulls, tree branches, i really like the begnning of this sequence with all the graphics moving on the white background and then close up faces wth blots of colour
I think we shud definitley use this growing flower technique in this video

Another edit . . .
Friday, 28 March 2008
hey guys spent the afternoon finishing the wardrobe page design, added the finished wardrobe and then imported it into flash. I saved each decade, the home and wardrobe text as seperate pngs so i could then make them into buttons. Now me and becka just need to finish all the clothes and il start making the drag and drop this weekend! think i may add a question mark button telling the user what to do just so its clear they can change the decade!!
so here is the empty template page

Photo edits
Hey ladies here are just a few photo edits iv done for our portfolio...

I wanted this pic to look like a day dream. I used hippie images and colours to give it a 60s psychedelic feel.

This one i wanted to look like me and kate are in an enchanted forest. i cut out our figures from the photographs changed the levels and whitend the eyes then i used a few differnt forest pictures for the background blending them to get rainbow colours. I added lighting and sparkles and all the diffent graphics and images using blend modes and layers. I choose graphics that i thought would give the forest a magical feel i.e. unicorn, mushrooms, fairies etc i also thought it wud look good if i gave me and kate wings xxxxx

more interactive wardrobe work :)

Andy Warhol/Popart style edit
helloooo!
i thought the close up photo of Naomi with the twiggy style eyelashes was a really strong image, so i did a photo edit in the style of Andy Warhol's popart portraits of Marilyn Monroe, i did it by selecting various areas of her face and giving them different coloured Photo Filters, changing contrasts and then adding a 'paint daubs' filter to make it look more paint-y, i'm quite pleased with the result :)

hope you all had a lovely easter & got lots of chocolate!

Another illustration for the portfolio gallery.
second 'haute couture' inspired illustration.
hey hey!
i just finished my 2nd illustration inspired by haute couture catwalk hair and make up.
As usual i sketched the figure in pencil, scanned it, and coloured it using layers, the polyagonal lassoo tool & my graphics tablet. When i finished colouring this one, i'd used 25 layers! Then i superimposed it on a Marc Jacobs fashion show set, which used blue lighting that i thought went well with the colours of the mode. Then i imposed THAT image on a polariod style frame :)
i quite like this one :)

see you kids on monday for the presentation, aagh!

interactive wardrobe progress.
hello!
me & alice have spent today being STUDY BUDDIES, hahaha & have got a lot done for the interative wardrobe. firstly i drew out a body for our paper doll, scanned it, and coloured it on photoshop:

then we spent the afternoon drawing out outfits, scanning them, and colouring them,.
here are the finished sixties outfits which i designed, modelled by the completed 'sixties paper doll':

we're still working now, alice has drawn the forties & fifities outfits out ready to scan, and we are going to design the actual wardrobe/''bedroom layout'' once we've finished all the outfits from different decades.

Ideas for interactive wardrobe outfits
Paper Doll Heads :)
hey guys, finished the heads for the paperdolls (by the way alice i'm addicted to that site you posted!).
Obviously each decade had a few different looks & styles, but i decided to pick one for each decade:
1940s - housewife style, women just gaining independance, with all the men off to war, but still dressing quite conservative.
1950s - the whole teenage 'rock and roll' thing, very Grease, the whole poodle skirt, high ponytails & poker dots thing.
1960s - I chose a Mod theme, with a beehive, and Twiggy style eyelashes.
1970s - big 'Charlie's Angels' Farrah Fawcett style hair, all windswept, with pastel coloure make up.
1980s - FAME style perms and neon make up, very aerobics video style.
1990s - Kate Moss inspired 'Heroin Chic'
2000s - Slick, Victoria Beckham style 'pob' thing.

gonna draw up the body shortly & send it to alice so she can use tracing paper to design the clothes so they fit the 'paper doll' body perfectly.
hope you're all good. love becka xxx

Creation of CD Rom - portfolio page (slideshow gallery)

iv started making the portfolio page today and made an interactive slideshow gallery displaying some of our work. this is just a screenshot of one of the images in the gallery. the buttons change to white arrows on rollover, i might add some sound to the buttons, depending on if we have the mp3 player playing on this page aswell??
i dont know whether we should look into more advanced ways of making a slideshow gallery cos this one seems quite simple and basic? xxx
